We Wish You A Merry Halloween

"We wish you a Merry Christmas.  We wish you a Merry Christmas.  We wish you a..."

I wriggle in bed, wrinkling my face and grunting.  Somewhere between unconscious and conscious.

"Rudolph the red nose reindeer had a very shiny nose.  And if..."

I roll over, stretching, inhaling deeply and lingering in sleep.

"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the..."

I sit upright in bed, look to my left and see the red digital numerals 6:41...as in AM.  Huh?  What?  Am I dreaming?  No. Those sounds are too close, too real.

"...way.  Oh what fun it is to ride..."

Uh uh.  What?  It's October 31.  I'm certain.  Wait, those are Christmas songs.  Shaking my head I ask myself, "Am I awake?"

"Moooommmmmmm, I am hungry!"

I am so awake.

Slowly my feet hit the floor and I begin the trek downstairs...groggy and giggly.  The boys are playing Christmas music.

"Guys, what are you doing?"  I ask mid-yawn.

"We're listening to Christmas music"  replies Lee.

"Why?"  I ask.

"Because", answers Mac, "We don't know any Halloween carols."

"Oh.  Who wants pancakes for breakfast?"  I inquire.

"Me, I am very hungry" Wil answers.

From our family to yours, have a fun and merry Halloween.

And a Merry Halloween to you too. I do hope it's wonderful.

There's a new tradition for you! Christmas songs on Halloween.

Very Cute!!
Have A Holly Jolly Halloween!!

Each holiday should be exciting, shouldn't it?? Too bad there are no Halloween carols, unless you count:

trick or trick
smell my feet
give me something good to eat
if you don't
i don't care
i'll just pull down your underwear!

:D

Ah....the memories!

You'd think they would've come up with some kind of Halloween songs by now. It's weird.

It's highly appropriate because Target has Christmas decorations out.

Duh, Mom. Why else would we be playing Christmas songs in October? : P

Christmas carols are good all year round! Maybe the boys can compose their own Halloween songs for enxt year. :o) Happy Halloween!

LOL. Kids are priceless.

They should definitely write some Halloween carols. I bet they'd sell a million.

oh, that's too funny. mac is so right... there really aren't any good halloween carols =]

happy halloween to you, too.

Hope you and the lads had a Happy Halloween. I have been known to do housework in the middle of July with Christmas Carols playing at full on my stereo so as to rise about the sound of the hoover as she hums. They always cheer me up!

Those boys show great initiative I must say> Oh and I love the picture of the pumpkins from WW. Very cool.

That's so funny because my kids have been singing Christmas carols too. Great pics BTW!

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate~
The first one said "Oh, my it's getting late"
The second one said "There are witches in the air"
The third one said "but we don't care"
The fourth one said "Let's run and run and run"
The fifth one said, "I'm ready for some fun."
ooooooooo went the wind and out went the light...
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

so much fun. I just love it. Yes I can see them writing Halloween carols as we speak! They are awesome!!

lol oh how funny. i saw a commercial yesterday that referenced the holidays ... i couldnt believe they already have a christmas commercial!!!

LOL, sorry about that double post. I thought I had previewed it before it posted, but I guess not.

LOVE IT!
How were the pancakes? :)

This made me laugh because I have to hide the Christmas CDs or my son would play them EVERYDAY. ALL. YEAR. LONG. No lie.

I just keep hearing the "trick or treat, smell my feet..." song over and over from Jackson. Some Christmas carols would be lovely! :)

LOL!! I hate that you had to get up early. Hope you guys had fun!
